The monthly maintenance fee also includes updates to the medication dictionaries that are required for E-Rx. A separate annual fee is charged by a third party Direct vendor and is require to send through Direct (170.314.b.2). A fee may be charged, either one time or monthly for setting up and ongoing maintenance for an interface to an immunization registry or public health agency (170.314.f.2, 170.314.f.3). Internet access is also required throughout the application.
